King's Advisor by Larissa-Bright King's Advisor by Larissa-Bright
Had this hanging around a while and decided to post. I'm not terribly skilled with tonal pencils, as you can see! I do like the face, though.

My original character Corin, the "baddie" in a story I wrote. He's a free-thinker with a bad habit of choosing unreliable lackeys who mess up his plans.

All the best underlings are unreliable, because they're so unreliable. ^^

Very good! I'm not saying this to gain any brownie points but I do believe you are getting better at you art! Corin's face looks great along with the effects of the folds in his costume's sleeves. Kudos to you kiddo!

Yay! Thank you for :+fav:. I think if I've improved, that's directly proportional to the fact that I've more time on my hands to draw these days. :giggle:

Goodness he's pretty!

This is quite a different style for you. Daring and lovely, if I might say so.

Also, if littleselkie sees this, it reminds me of Aristos, a villain in the game I'm running that she's in.

I like trying out new ideas and styles - though this doesn't feel as 'me' as some other pictures, I'm interested enough to try more. Thankee!

oew i really like this! it's quite realistic and i think the shading looks really good! especially in his face and cloak. the clothing folds near his waist look a bit too 'sharp' though, and thus it looks a bit flat.
But his attitude totally shines through here =P nice job ^^

Yeah, I felt like playing with something more realistic for once. The folds are a bit bad, but I'm working on them!

 CORIN!!!! ahh, he looks so great in the semirealism form!!! And I was just saying to Chris this morning how I particularly like people whose lips curl up (not just stretch) when they smile
*gets serious again* that is, in fact, awesome job. I love the shading of his face and hair and, particularly, the highlight on top of his head. The only thing I don't agree with is the shading of his cloak (precisely the bit across his chest - it's a bit flat) and his left sleeve (the folds look a bit wrong).

I'm glad you like it, but then I suspected you might given that it's Corin. :D I think the folds are a bit extreme in the wrong kind of way, looking at it now - boo! *decides to blame this on her ineptness with tonal pencils*
